Math is right at the apex of the First-Principles Thinking Stack in this guide. While math is helpful in our day to day lives when doing quick calculations while grocery shopping or while planning your expenses, its applications are way beyond that.

As per a study, Math is processed in a specific area of the brain. This proves that Math is an entirely different processing language for the brain, opening up new neural pathways and allowing you to think through things from an entirely different perspective.

Statistics, while being a subset of math, is covered separately here, given its ever increasing importance to make sense of data in an age of data-overload.
